The Oregon Sentinels
Along Oregon’s rocky and treacherous coast stand nine lighthouses as sentinels to maritime travelers. All nine lighthouses have been named to the National Register of Historic Places. Seven of the lighthouses are open to public tours during the summer months. (One additional lighthouse, the 10th, is privately owned and we have chosen not to invade the owner's privacy.)

From the Southern to the Northern Oregon coast are:

Cape Blanco Lighthouse
Coquille River Lighthouse
Cape Arago Lighthouse
Umpqua River Lighthouse
Heceta Head Lighthouse
Yaquina Bay Lighthouse
Yaquina Head Lighthouse
Cape Mears Lighthouse
Tillamook Rock Lighthouse

All nine lighthouses, and their rocky shores, are featured in the DVD, "My Back Yard".
